Buddies And Pals

Everyday when I come home from work at four
They are waiting on me when I open the door
I pick them up with a hug and kiss
They made my day, this is what I miss-

I sat down in my rockin' chair to relax
They want to know daddy would you ride us on your back
I get down on the floor with them and play
After a long hard working day-

Buddies and pals, buddies and pals
Together we'll always be
Buddies and pals, buddies and pals
God's gift to me-

Giving them a bath is lots of fun
But you'll have to catch them as they run
I like to see them play with their favorite toy
They can go for hours with lots of joy-

They are usually asleep in my lap by eight
Playing hard all day they can't hardly stay awake
I pick them up with a kiss to the forehead
Thanking God as I tuck them safely in bed-

Buddies and pals, buddies and pals
Together we'll always be
Buddies and pals, buddies and pals
God's gift to me-
