Calling on friends sometimes they'll let you down
Being with your wife forever then she's left town
Raising kids to be independent on their own
The you'll be lucky if you they'll ever phone-

Trying to be the policemen of the world
And all those stones back being hurled
Listen to ministries saying we're here for you
Forget your soul send your money it'll do-

A job you worked so hard to get
After getting it then you start to regret
When time passes and you start to get old

My friend the only hope is in Jesus
