What's happening to the church today
A lot being heard but nothing to say
They don't preach about the cross
And sin is a word already tossed-

It's the feel good message we hear
The contemporary music rejoicing with cheer
It brings the big crowds
Money jingling, laughing out loud-

Give me Jesus, give me Jesus
Let Him touch me today
Give me Jesus, give me Jesus
Let Him show me the way-

A lot of people are missing Heaven
Listening to the wrong kind of leaven
There is a lot of spirituality
But no thought of true reality-

Don't give me no miracle water to react
Or send me a pray cloth as a point of contact
Just give me Jesus when I get lost
And he'll show me back to the cross-
