Grandma

I remember grandma reading the Bible to me
The love of Jesus in her eyes I could see
I enjoyed the stories about the prophets of old
And how faith in Jesus would save my soul-

Grandma kept a big family Bible on the table
She read it daily even if she didn't feel able
I still have some of the Bible verses in my head
That I memorized with her help as she read-

Grandma, grandma
Thank you for sharing the Lord
Grandma, grandma
Thank Him for your Heavenly reward-

I miss all those fun times we had
Knowing she's with jesus keeps me from being sad
Thank you Lord for a grandma who cared
And the love of her Savior she joyously shared-
