He Saved Me

Being a drunk and living on the street
Asking for a hand out to who I'd meet
Getting beat up and knocked to the ground
Looking for help and nobody was around-

I used to have a nice family and home
But all the drinking has left me alone
Then one day a stranger I would meet
He cleaned me up and took me off the street-

He saved me, He saved me

Years later I met this stranger once again
I said I want to thank you my friend
I would like to pay you for what you done
He said it's already been paid for by the Son-

My friend are you looking for some help
Trusting in Jesus is the right step
He will always be there for you
Just open up your heart let Him through-
