If Not The Cross

Some preachers on tv today
Distort God's word every which way
You have to feel good about self
Don't worry about anyone else-

Some preachers work the crowd
Tears flowing singing out loud
As the money pours in
You are their best friend-

If not the cross
Then all is false
If not the cross
Then all is lost-

Some preach the seed faith
Or the prosperity kind of taste
The slain in the spirit fall
Your money begging for it all-

Study the word on your own
Let it be God that has sown
There will be much fruit to share
Don't be robbed by religious tales-

If not the cross
Then all is false
If not the cross
Then all is lost-
