You hear about all the bad things going on
A lot of hard working people are losing their homes
The once stable economy is now in crisis they say
And all of the meltdown is on its way-

The new president says he's going to bring change
But hiring old administration help doesn't do a thing
I believe if congress would take a caring look
We would have a better country going by the book-

That for our time they've faded away
