We were born with the sinful nature
Our good works won't get us in the rapture
If we'll let the cross change our sinful hearts
Then our soul will be ready when we depart-

The world says do what your heart desires
That it's only human nature being inspired
But one day standing before the judgment seat
It will be our creator God that we'll meet-

To release our body from jail

To save our soul from hell-

We need to praise our Lord up on high
Let that be our everlasting battle cry
My friend let's all live trying to do right
And keep Heaven in our reachable sight-
