It's God Way

I used to do a lot of crazy things
I would jump when the phone would ring
A party animal everyone would see
Thinking the night life wouldn't catch up with me-

With wet roads headed down highway 34
I flipped my car at someone's front door
Being a foolish young hard headed man
Wasting my life without trying to understand-

It's God's way, it's God's way
Or satan is talking
It's God's way, it's God's way
Or dead man walking-

I had a good family standing beside me
But for some reason I wanted to be free
However the Lord had a higher calling
And stopped me from so much falling-

I now follow God's proven plan today
Not doing things my own selfish way
I'm thanking Him for watching over me
And a better I hope to be-
