We are living in troublesome times
World problems are on a lot of minds
Will there ever be rest in the middle east
Do you think we'll ever have world peace-

Taking a few pills if your love life is empty
Side effects don't expect drug companies sympathy
One good drink will get you through
But it always turns into more than a few-

Stand on the word, stand on the word
The word of God alone

In churches we find politics behind the pulpits today
Theology is out and psychology is moving up it's way
We need to get off the cell phone
And stand on the word of God alone-
