While He was hung up on that cross
Looking out over the crowd that was lost
With pain shooting through His body and soul
What looked tragic was the greatest story every told-

With blood dripping down His face from thorns
His back cut open from the whip torn
While mocking and laughing was in view
He said Father forgive them what they do-

That hung upon that tree

Not My will but thy will be done
Was the voice of His only begotten Son
How many people today appreciate Jesus' sacrifice
Or would else pay that kind of price-
